Findhorn, Scotland
Healing Spirit conference

Scotland is one of the places in the world that I have been drawn to see. So finding out about the Findhorn Foundation in 1982 made the pull even stronger. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Findhorn please use the link to explore this mystical power place.

Carolyn Myss has said that Findhorn exists for one reason, to bring light into a troubled world.

This mystical place was the setting for a conference of 300 people from 32 countries. All of them were healers or deeply interested in the phenomenon of healing and how to empower their own skills further. The energy was high, deep and expanded.

This means that just being there could move a person into an altered, or non-ordinary, state of consciousness. In these altered states we can experience awareness of ourselves and the nature of reality that deepen our understanding of why we are here at this time in physical form

The meetings were intense, dynamic and revolved around expanding our ideas of what healing is. Who is doing the healing? Are all crises negative? What is the state of the world spirituality? How are we to interact with the earth and her changes?

Meals were a riot of conversation, most people speaking in English with the accent of their home country. There were 20 or so people from the United States. Two of these Americans were Carolyn Myss and Sandra Ingerman.

All of the presenters’ information was woven together into a message that was clear and concise—not because they planned it at an outer level, but because they were all attuned to the authentic soulful information within them. The messages were taught in the language of the various presenters’ areas of expertise.

That message was this:

The Earth and her people are in a time of great change.

We are intimately connected in a symbiotic relationship with each other, the earth and all other life forms that dwell here. If we open our energy to the deepest truth within us, we will carry the presence that we need in order to invite change.

Crisis and destruction are the tearing away of what is old and outworn—the greater our resistance, the greater the trauma we are forced to go through while letting go.

Our shadow sides are manifesting in the world. All that we see outside of us has a mirror within us. We are the microcosm of the macrocosm. As within, so without. Some argued that the focus we hold in our consciousness is the blueprint for what is being created in the world.

We are moving into the era of energy. Our thoughts are manifesting into physical reality more easily. We each need to be responsible for clearing up and focusing our personal awareness—our inner thought environment. If you haven’t been cleaning out the belief system closet in your mind, now is the time to begin. Set up counseling sessions with someone and get to it. Each one of us has disowned personal material that is manifesting in the world as shadow material. It is time to be responsible.

The earth, her people and all life forms here are live energy systems that respond to one another. Our idea that we are separate forces, contained within our skin and limited to the prison of our own skulls, is an illusion.

Healers create a space where whatever wants to move into wholeness can do so. If healers are using their personal energy to do this, they are wounded healers, martyring themselves. Opening up to universal flow, takes nothing from the healers themselves.

Being of service to the world is a wondrous thing, but this activity needs to also serve the healer. We can get stuck at a level of personal caring and invest too much in another's pain. Opening to the energy of the chakra above the heart, supported by the open chakra below allows us to move into the state of the witness—a deeply objective compassionate space within our own awareness—a space where we see the validity of the experience, and do not get caught up in pity for, another’s life initiation.

Pity moves us into victimhood. This feeds the belief that an initiation shouldn’t be happening. Loving from a space of objectivity feeds the larger, more adequate belief that each one of us has what it take to face our life initiation with courage and deep spiritual skills. We stand facing spirit and life with integrity and self-belief. High self-esteem is crucial at this point of development—believing that we each have what it takes to expand within our own soul’s journey.

This was just the work done with the collectives. The energy of the land educated me in new ways to work with my own chakras system and the energy of dynamism and magnetism, also known as the masculine and feminine forces. I came face to face with areas of my consciousness that were sabotaging my growth and bleeding off my energy.

My personal relationship with my life mate hit crisis point and the energy demanded that we look at what we were creating in our relationship. It made for some deeply uncomfortable times that led to a new expansion of openness, honesty and a clearer path.

The seeds for a group trip were planted and I will be taking group in the summer of 2005.

For eight days we will explore Scotland and Findhorn. We will let the energy create an incubator where we can grow to our next level.

By the way, the conference was an enormous success, with changes and expansion. The land, the devas, the spirit, the attendees and the speakers all created an energy that transformed everything.

Thank you for supporting the dream by reading of the adventure. Here is a toast to our transformation. Not all that is being torn down bespeaks loss; it is instead making room for what is yet to come.

Let’s raise our glasses to what is to come. It is, after all, why we chose to come here to earth now.

Namaste,
Victoria
