Bhola Banstola

Bhola Nath Banstola, an indigenous Nepali shaman, soon will be making his third visit to Indiana teaching a weekend workshop on June 15-17, 2012 Banstola was born in l966 in the Bhojpur district of east Nepal. He was called by the sprits at a very young age to become a shaman and was initiated by his grandfather, who had been the shaman of his village. He is the 30th generation within his family to be chosen by the spirits to be a healer.

After receiving degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Naturopathy in Nepal and India, he practiced for a time as a naturopath and herbalist in the Kathmandu Valley. He has also conducted extensive research on shamanism within different ethnic groups and traditions in his native country, as well as in India.

Bhola Banstola brings the art and wisdom of his ancestral Himalayan Shamanic Tradition to share with us in the weekend retreat.  This healing weekend will be devoted to healing of oneself, as well as deepening foundational work to do healing with others. An introduction to Nepalese healing practices. Will be  followed by shamanic journey work , group shamanic dancing and ritual.

You will have the opportunity to experience:

· Healing ceremony where blockages are transferred to a mandala and released.

· Seven levels of clearing energy.

· Two level of thanksgiving, for guides and ancestors.

· The receiving of a sacred mantra to be used in healing, prayer, meditation and journey work.

· Group drumming, dancing and thanksgiving songs

· All within the frame work of the transformative energy of the heart chakra.
